A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME —
I’m Alex, the face behind Luna and Willow Photography. I live in Newcastle, NSW and I am a proud puppy mama to (in my opinion) the most beautiful German Shepherd named Nala.
Photography is my genuine passion, I cherish the magic and uniqueness of every wedding and couple, the power of storytelling and curating a gallery full of intimate and precious moments that truely envision your love for each other.

Multi-passionate soul
finding love in everything i do
- Outside spending time with you legends, documenting your love, by day you'll find me working passionately as a Personal Trainer currently at Anytime Fitness in Raymond Terrace. If this isn't a dead giveaway, I am also very passionate about my own health and fitness as well.
- I LOVE anything thats True Crime, so in my spare time you can find me curled up with some snacks watching pretty much any true crime show/documentary/series.
- I am a big lover of all animals, and very often encourage couples to include their own fur-babies in their special day.
- My biggest fear is spiders. Absolutely terrified of them. It could be a spider the size if your pinky fingernail, minding it's own business in the corner and I will be like nopppeee, and be up and out of there!!
- I love travelling and seeing all the beautiful scenery this world has to offer. Although I've only travelled to a few stunning places so far in my life like Japan, Rome, Venice and a few others, I have some other bucket list destinations I'd love to experience: Greece, Egypt, New Zealand and England.

My Story
The Experience
A Girl & Her Camera
My Photography passion started off as a love for capturing beautiful and breathe-taking scenery. I would travel up and down the east coast of Australia every chance I could, exploring and capturing the mesmerising scenes. From here, I decided I wanted to explore bigger and better things with my photography, and so I started shooting family and friends gatherings, events and special moments. Since then, that spark of passion I had for photography grew bigger and bigger, and here we are now. Fast forward 4 years and 100+ weddings and equal amounts of Family and Maternity shoots later and I am more in love with what I do then ever.
Photography is my genuine passion, I cherish the magic and uniqueness of every wedding and couple, the power of storytelling and curating a gallery full of intimate and precious moments that truely envision your love for each other. I'm not your typical "smile at the camera" kind of girl, I am a strong believer that capturing the candid movements, big belly laughs and in between shots are what makes true authentic memories.

Loads Of Love & Connection
Documenting your love story to me is more than capturing just the big moments. Yes the first kiss, first dance and Bride and Groom portraits are must have photos on your wedding day, however I specialise in also capturing the smaller details - the sneaky little kisses, the hand holding, the details in the dress, decor and bouquet which took days of planning, Grandma & Grandpa slow dancing, the little details which are often missed.
Planning a wedding is a big task, I know, but I want to be there for you to help provide as much or as little guidance as you need. With over 100 weddings under my belt, I would love to help ease some stress and provide you with resources and knowledge around planning the day you've dreamt.
Once you have decided that my style is align with your vision for the day, I take the time to get to know you both individually and as a couple, I aim to create a friendship and also help you get to know me to ensure you are as comfortable as possible on the day. Then when it comes time to plan the day I send you through Welcome Guides and Timeline Planning Guides, as well as constant emails and communication to ensure all details and times are confirmed.
Then we come to the big day, I can be as involved or not involved as you like. I can be as invisible as a fly on the wall, letting the day run as planned, snapping away the whole time in the background, or I can be upfront standing on a chair making sure everyone is the family photo and helping to ensure the day is running to smoothly. I am not only there to document this precious moment in your life, but to also ensure you are stress free, present and living in the moment, this is your day, I want to help make it perfect.

Alex is absolutely amazing at what she does, and you can see it through her work. She's kind, gentle and so patient with our little ones, she always provides the most beautiful photos of our family. We have used her now for the past 2 years from maternity to newborn, Mother's Day to Christmas and every other event or milestone in-between and let me say, we have been beyond happy and grateful with every single experience and photo she has produced.

Where do I even begin?! I am beyond impressed and absolutely ecstatic with our family photos taken by Alex.
